EMRA 600cc Championship 2008

As was previously announced the winner of this championship will receive a New 600 Honda supplied by Kestrel Honda of Coventry. The only restriction placed on the winning recipient will be that they will not be allowed to sell the machine until the end of the 2009 racing season. The deed of title will remain with EMRA until that date. The spirit of this championship is for the winner to have a new bike to race in  2009.

After consultation with Michael Nibblett who is  an employee of Kestrel Honda Coventry. Michael wishes to make it known that if he wins the championship he will not take the Honda prize. He will generously donate the machine to a one off draw out of the hat of all competitors that have completed in every round of this 600 Championship. The first out of the hat wins the bike.

 What a fantastic gesture.

17th January 2008

We are sad to announce that Barry Hibbett passed away on the 15th January.  Barry was a well known and respected Chief Scrutineer both at club level and FIM international levels.  He was the Chief Scrutineer for EMRA for the past 20 years and only his duties to the FIM and TT stopped him from attending EMRA meetings.  His knowledge of the Technical rules of the ACU and FIM were unsurpassed and he will be sadly missed by us all.  On behalf of the Officials and members of EMRA we pass our condolences to his family and friends.
