EAST MIDLAND RACING ASSOCIATION

BUILDBASE MALLORY TROPHY

(Promoted by E.M.R.A., Buildbase.)

 

 

**Open to 598 – 1300cc open machines.  Complying to specifications laid down in EMRA 2019 regulations, this competition will be run over six rounds.  The points will count double for the last round, to be eligible for this final round you must have raced in at least three of the previous rounds. The winner will be awarded the Buildbase Mallory Championship Cup and also cash awards at the AWARDS EVENING.

 

**The Bridgestone 500 Championship will be run over six rounds. The points will count double for this last round, to be eligible for points this final round you must have raced in at least three of the previous rounds.  The winner will be awarded the Bridgestone 500 Championship Cup and also a cash award at the AWARDS EVENING.

 

CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS. The following classes will be run for 2019 over six rounds.

Solo - Formula 50 -125cc 

Sidecar - Open 590cc -1300cc

Solo - Earlystocks 175 – 1300cc

Solo - GP 125 – 450cc Single and Twin Cylinder

Solo - Lightweight 250 two-stroke & 400 4 stroke. Formula machines

Solo - Mini Twins Up to 650cc Water cooled.  Air cooled 820cc

Solo - Open 401cc – 600cc 4 cylinder.  750cc two cylinder.  Kawasaki 636 pre-2007 eligible.

Solo - Real Motorsport Allcomers excluding Event 1 machines. Up to 600 and 601 – 1300cc Open

Solo - Buildbase Mallory Trophy Up to 600cc and 601cc – 1300cc Open

Solo - Rookies 175cc – 1300cc licence restrictions see page 4.                 

Solo - Bridgestone 500 – CB 500 machines.

Solo – Pre-electronic injection up to 600cc and 601cc – 1300cc. 

 

Two races for each class will be held at each round, points are awarded on both races on the basis of 25, 22, 20, 18, 16, 14, 12, 10, 8, 6, 5 ,4, 3, 2,1, Trophies awarded second races only, (Awarded as follows: number of riders up to 2 first only, 1-4 first and second, 1-5 onwards first, second and third place).  Grid positions for each meeting will be based on timed practice. The final round of ALL Club Championships will carry DOUBLE POINTS. The Champion for each class will be the rider with the most points scored; ties will be decided by the greatest number of lst, 2nd, 3rd places etc.    Competitors in the final round will only be eligible for points if they have scored points in previous rounds, with the exception of the Buildbase Mallory and EMRA 500 Championships.

Championship awards will be presented at the 2019 E.M.R.A. Awards Evening and riders who win cash awards MUST attend to qualify for receipt of same or they will forfeit their awards. All main classes have a runner up award and some classes may have an award for third place. To be eligible for a trophy and prize money where applicable at the Awards Evening competitors must have competed in at least 4 rounds of their class.

CIRCUIT.     MALLORY PARK.  1.39 miles in length. Practice and racing will be in a clockwise direction.

 

JURISDICTION. The meeting will be held under the National Sporting Code of the Auto Cycle Union, the Standing Regulations for Road Racing of the A.C.U (2019 edition), these Supplementary Regulations and any further instructions issued or official announcement.

ELIGIBILITY. All drivers and passengers must be registered members of E.M.R.A. Must hold a current ACU or SACU license and be eligible to ride the machine they have entered (see 2019 ACU handbook for details). Novice riders (Orange Jacket Holders) are accepted. Any entry that does not quote a License No. will not be accepted. All drivers must have a working transponder fitted to their machine.

NUMBER OF DRIVERS ALLOWED. Maximum starters at all circuits will be Mallory Park, 32 solo’s, 24 sidecars. These start numbers may be increased by 50 percent for official practice.

ENTRIES AND ENTRY FEES. All entries must be made on the Official Entry Form (faxed copies are not acceptable), and sent to Entries Secretariat of the Meeting not less than ten days before the Meeting.

MALLORY PARK 1st event solo’s £160.00. Sidecars £185.00.  Additional classes £40.00. Each class will have two races for this fee.  Two- day meeting Solo’s 1st event £270.  Sidecars £285.  Additional classes £40.

CHEQUES - (dated - no less than - 14days before the meeting) and POSTAL-ORDERS to be made payable to EAST MIDLAND CENTRE A.C.U. Ltd.  Debit and Credit payments as per entry form.   Any person(s) entering less than seven days before the meeting will be subject to a £10 surcharge, any person wishing to pay CASH ONLY on the day, must send a non-returnable £40 deposit.  Incomplete entry forms will be returned to the competitor.  The club reserves the right to refuse any entry and abandon, cancel or postpone the meeting, or alter the programme of events or awards. If the meeting is postponed due to unforeseen circumstances a proportion of your entry fee only will be returned.

INSURANCE. The organisers undertake to insure each driver and passenger, indemnifying him against any third-party claim made, arising out of the races or official practice, excluding claims by other drivers or passengers, entrant, sponsor or mechanic.

TECHNICAL INSPECTION. All drivers and passengers will present themselves dressed in full racing clothing and novice jacket (if applicable). All machines must display the correct racing number, which must comply with A.C.U. 2019. Regulations and must be inspected before practice. (DON'T FORGET YOUR TECHNICAL INSPECTION CARD). CHANGE OF RIDER, PASSENGER OR MACHINE. It is not permitted to change a rider, passenger, make or capacity of motorcycle, after the start of any meeting (see National Sporting Code).

PRACTICE: Will be 9.30am, and all riders will have the opportunity of 10 minutes’ minimum practice.

WARM UP LAPS. Each race will have ONE warm up lap of the circuit to be raced.

PLEASE NOTE: All 600 Open and EMRA 500 machines may be subject to Dyno testing at any of our meetings at the club’s discretion. Slick tyres are allowed except for events 1 and 12.   If in the opinion of the organisers insufficient entries are received for any particular class that class may be run with another event. The onus of eligibility rests with the competitor. All competitors must use a transponder and there will be a limited supply for hire on the day.

 

METHOD OF START. All races will be started by lights and will be clutch start. Any rider falling off on the sighting/ warm up lap through his or her own fault will be fined £50.00

 

FINISHING. Only drivers crossing the finishing line within two minutes of the winner and completing 75% of race distance will be declared finishers.

 

AWARDS. All second races carry souvenir awards as follows: - number of riders up to 2 first only, 1-4 first and second, 1-5 onwards first, second and third place).  No awards/points to BSB Superbike riders.             

 

NOISE LIMITS. The organisers will disqualify any machine that fails an A.C.U./ Circuit noise test (105 dba.).

 

ADMISSION TO CIRCUIT. Each accepted driver (solo) will receive two vehicle passes and three people passes, sidecar will receive two vehicle passes and five people passes. Sponsors passes are the responsibility of the Rider/Driver.   

 

FIRE EXTINGUISHERS. All riders MUST carry a fire extinguisher in their vehicles as per ACU handbook; any

competitor found in contravention of this rule will be fined £25:00 as per ACU regulations.

 

SIGNING ON. All drivers and passengers must sign on in the Race Secretary's Office.  All drivers and passengers failing to produce a current licence will only take part in the meeting at the discretion of the Stewards of the Meeting and may be liable to a fine of up to £10.00 (to be Donated to the A.C.U. Benevolent fund).

 

CANCELLATION OF ENTRY. Any Driver or Entrant canceling an entry MUST send all passes and paperwork, arriving no later than 48 hrs prior to the meeting, to the Entries Secretary of the Meeting.  A minimum of £30.00 administration fee and the value of any unreturned passes will be deducted from any

refund of entry fee due. NO REFUNDS WILL BE CONSIDERED AFTER THE CLOSE OF THE MEETING. 

 

MEDICAL EXAMINATION. The organisers reserve the right to carry out a medical examination by its chief Medical Officer of any driver or passenger to ascertain his/her fitness to compete. Any rider, driver

passenger who falls from their machine MUST attend the Medical Centre before taking any further part

in the meeting. The Chief Medical Officers decision is fact from which there is no right of protest.

 

RETURN TO THE PADDOCK. Drivers retiring or stopping during a race must remove their machines quickly and safely from the track at the instructions of the marshals and must return to the paddock via — official recovery vehicle. DO NOT TOUR, THIS IS NOT ALLOWED (see A.C.U. handbook 2019). under no circumstances during practice or racing must any driver proceed in the reverse direction. PENALTY WILL BE DISQUALIFICATION FROM THE MEETING.

 

Any Rider that want to fit a camera to their machine must have written permission from the relevant factions at Mallory Park, forms are available from the Race Office. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES WILL HELMET CAMERA’S BE ALLOWED.

 

 

The use of remote-controlled aerial drones to take photographic footage is NOT ALLOWED AT MALLORY PARK

THE ORGANISERS RESERVE THE RIGHT TO IMPOUND ANY MACHINE, ITEM OF EQUIPMENT OR CLOTHING AT ANY TIME AND WITHOUT THE RIGHT OF PROTEST OR REFUND.

 

NOTE ANY CHEQUE RETURNED UNPAID AT THE BANK WILL INCUR AN ADDITIONAL CHARGE OF £20:00. TOTAL ENTRY FEE PLUS CHARGE IS PAYABLE TO THE SECRETARY BEFORE YOU ARE ALLOWED TO COMPETE IN THE DAYS EVENTS OR IF AFTER THE MEETING WITHIN 7 DAYS. FAILURE TO PAY WILL RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION FROM ANY OTHER E.M.R.A. MEETING AND YOU WILL BE REPORTED TO THE A.C.U. FOR FURTHER ACTION.
